This event brings together 6 walkers who converge on the Proboscis studio, following the route which they have each defined for themselves and which is represented in QR Code form on a storycube. On reaching the studio they leave their storycubes to form a cairn - a 'waymarker' for the project - introducing it to other invited guests.
Our 6 walkers include: SP & GJ, GL and H(?) plus two others. Each walker defines a walking-route which ends at the Proboscis studios; their route can start anywhere and passes to its destination via 4 waypoints; the start- and way-points can be defined according to any criteria; each walker uses the StoryCube Cairn QR Code script (through a web interface) to generate a new StoryCube; each URL passed to the script can contain a reference to ANY media, though must include some reference to a geographic location on the route (the waypoint); it may contain supplementary information, such as photographs, audio and so on, defined by the walker; in the case of a walker not being able to use the script, the start- and way-points may be given to SP to generate corresponding URL and subsequent StoryCube PDF.
On the day of the event, each walker starts from their start-point and walks towards the studio, following the route on their StoryCube. They converge on the studio to meet other walkers and guests invited to the event.
